Structure
·        Structure/form – the sequence of events (linear or non-linear narrative). The film is linear because it only has one story line and flows in sequence

Mise-en-scene

Locations:
·       Alleyways - during fight scenes as it’s appropriate for action films
·       Behind the car park – alienated space appropriate for the fight scenes
·       Public roads – kidnap scene
·       Robert’s house – when he receives a phone call
·       Walthamstow central station – when Hong comes from China to help his brother.

Clothes :
·       Hoodies – shows characters low social status therefore they stay out on road getting in trouble.
·       Trousers – appropriate clothing for the fight scene and it also shows their low social status
·       Hats
·       Bags

Props:
·       Rope – when Weronika is tied up to the gate
·       Mobile phones – to make and receive important phone calls
·       Poisoned tissue – needed for a kidnap scene
Body language/Facial expression:
·       Constantly aggressive – as it’s an action film and we have two fight scenes, the characters need to be aggressive
·       Violent – the characters are fighting each other
·       Repulsive
·       Scared – Weronika is scared during the kidnap scene and when Robert is fighting Hong

Makeup:
·       Fake blood – to make the fight scene more realistic and powerful
Lighting:
·       Natural lighting throughout the whole movie

Cinematography

Shot types:
·       Close ups – to shows characters emotions and we will use them during fight scenes to emphasize on the punch/kick
·       Medium shots – we will also use them during fight scenes
·       Medium close ups – during conversations
·       Long shots – to show everything within the frame, we will use them during fight scenes
·       Establishing shot – we will use it at the beginning to establish the area (Robert’s house)
·       Point of view – we will use point of view during fight scenes, as Robert is walking to fight Tien and Asif and when Weronika gets kidnapped, this will make the audience as they’re in the characters position.
·       Low angle – to show Robert’s power and that he’s dominant
·       High angle – to show Tien is vulnerable

   Camera movement:
·       Tilt – as Robert stands up from the sofa we’ll use low angle and tilt to show his power
·       Pan – as Robert is walking up to Tien and Asif
·       Hand held – during fight scenes to make them more realistic

Sound

Diegetic
·       Dialogue – when the characters are talking

Non-diegetic
·       Sound effects – punching and kicking added during editing to make the fight scenes more realistic and powerful
·       Soundtracks – Robert walking out of his house to going to fight Tien and Asif – the music has to be tensed to build up the atmosphere.  Soundtrack for fight scenes, fast typical action music. Soundtrack when Robert is dropping off Weronika home, the music has to be slow and romantic therefore audience get an idea they’re going out. Soundtrack for the kidnap scene to make the scene tensed.


Editing
·       fade in/ out
·       shot reverse shot – during conversations to show both characters
·       fast, sped up editing – to make the fight scenes more realistic and powerful
·       slow motion – to emphasize on the particular punch/kick
·       straight cuts
