Resources for Mise-en-scene

The locations

The list of where you are planning to film
·        Robert’s house
·        Walthamstow underground
·        Behind car park
·        Office
·        Alleyway
·        Public Road

Any problems connected with using the locations (special permission, ease of access for the group, background noise, etc.)

·        In some of the locations may have a problem with background noise as those places are usually crowded with people and cars passing

Props

Costume, hair, make-up

Boys - hoodies, trousers/jeans, trainers, t shirts, jackets, hats,
Girl – jeans, top, shoes, cardigan/jumper

How you will organise the lighting?
This will depend on where you are filming and what type of lighting you are planning in the treatment, i.e. low key, high contrast or high key, low contrast.
If filming at night think about improvising by using street lights, lit shop windows and/or a torch as necessary.
If in someone’s home try to use standard lamps/movable spotlights etc., rather than relying on ceiling lights.

·        Most of the time we’ll use natural lighting as we’re filming outdoor during at day time e.g. Alleyway fight, scene in the underground.
·        In the office we’ll use, ceiling lights.
·        At Robert’s house we’ll use a natural lighting as we’ll be filming at day time; we also may use standard lamps.
